Call for papers for 24th ETRA Conference

The 24th ETRA (European Tyre Recycling Association) Conference is calling for papers for its event that is taking place on 22-24 March 2017.

The 24th Annual Conference is a two-and-a-half day event which offers plenary and break-out sessions, discussion and debate. The sessions will focus on the expanding opportunities for use of recycled tyre materials in traditional and innovative sectors.

The tyre recycling sector faces a number of challenges in the drive towards a circular economy and the conference will explore those challenges and aims to identify opportunities for the recyclers.

The plenary sessions on Thursday, 23 March will focus on the use of recycled tyre materials as a crucial contribution to the circular economy in the EU. The morning of Friday, 24 March, will include the plenary session as well as a pyrolysis forum. The afternoon plenary session is expected to share key points of the morning sessions to identify opportunities to develop strategies to take tyre recycling forwards towards a sustainable future.

ETRA is the only body representing the independent tyre recycling industry in Europe. Its work is focused on tyre recycling and it co-ordinates research projects, assists its members with European funding and lobbying and has a growing role in promoting and publicising the use of recycled tyre materials (RTMs) to the manufacturing, construction, architectural and civil engineering sectors throughout Europe.
