Showtime in Torbay

The Plant & Waste Recycling Show returns on 9-11 June to Paignton, Torbay in Devon and promises to be bigger and better with a great line-up of exhibitors and visitors, explains Sophie Lipscombe of the PAWRS team

PAWRS will be offering new ideas at the 30th annual show to be held in Paignton. The new initiatives aim to attract fresh exhibitors and visitors to PAWRS. So far, this has been successful in pulling in the likes of Transport for London, WAMITAB, VOSA, DCW, CMS SUPATRAK, CILT, Vision Techniques, Mercedes-Benz, FTA and many more to speak at the PAWRS conference.

The conference marquee will be located on the show ground and will be the venue for an excellent source of information on current challenges within the industry.

All of the topics have been selected by attendees and will be a great insight into the daily challenges that we all face and how we can work together to not just overcome but transform the way we see waste and all topics surrounding it.

Extra demonstration space

Not only has PAWRS introduced conferences but we have also added demonstration space allowing exhibitors to showcase their vehicles and machines in a way that no other exhibition is able to. Visitors have a unique opportunity to try before they buy and be able to gain a better understanding of the machines' capabilities.

PAWRS 2015 will be a great combination of international exhibitors mixing with the usual band of loyal exhibitors at beautiful Paignton, Devon and meeting and celebrating with old and new friends at the local pub, The Inn on The Green.

The show will offer the best opportunities to do business and to network in the most congenial of surroundings that every exhibitor has come to know and love over the past 30 years of visiting Paignton seafront.

South West Waste Recycling Forum

We would also like to welcome back the annual South West Waste Recycling Forum's (SWWRF) Conference which is in its 8th year.

The SWWRF is one of the 11 regional forums of the Local Authority Recycling Advisory Committee (LARAC), and includes representatives from district, county and unitary councils in Avon, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire; together with representatives of the Community Recycling Network, the Environment Agency and private waste companies.

PAWRS is passionate about ensuring that all who attend this well-rounded exhibition and event enjoy networking opportunities in a relaxed atmosphere along with informative conferences and live demonstrations; allowing visitors to make the correct decision in sourcing new machinery or services.

"We are extremely proud of the new and improved changes that we have introduced to PAWRS 2015. After PAWRS 2014, I was overwhelmed by the support of the majority of exhibitors that wanted to become more involved in the Plant & Waste Recycling Show," says PAWRS chairman, Richard Hunt. "After PAWRS 2014 we were extremely keen to gain feedback from visitors to discover how we could progress the exhibition, it was unbelievable that 90% agreed with the introduction of the conferences and demonstration zones.

"With both visitors and exhibitors agreeing on ways to progress the show, we are now extremely pleased to present a new, improved and uplifted PAWRS," continues Hunt.

"On the Middle green this year, I'm pleased to announce, working in conjunction with us, is the coach and bus show. This will benefit some exhibitors, but will not interfere with our main objectives which are waste and recycling. We look forward to welcoming you to the PAWRS exhibition in June." RWW
