West Midlands Police has charged a 32-year-old man and 26-year-old woman with slavery offences for allegedly exploiting a man at a recycling plant in the Black Country.

Tadeusz Ondycz and Marta Dombrowska, of Willes Road in Winson Green, were accused of stealing the man's wages and documentation and controlling his bank account.

The pair allegedly lured the 47-year-old, who was a childhood friend, to the UK from Poland.

They were remanded into prison and are next scheduled to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on 10 November.
