The pack away mac is made from 50% recycled polyester

Marks & Spencer has launched a pack away mac made with 50% recycled polyester sourced from used plastic bottles.

The announcement is part of the Plan A 2025 sustainability plan, which commits the brand to producing at least 25% of its clothing and home products with reysed of recycled materials by 2025.

Available in womenswear, menswear and kidswear, M&S said: “This seasonal saviour is a must have transitional piece for every wardrobe. The lightweight mac with StormwearTM technology, comes in a variety of colours and prints and packs away conveniently until needed.”

Plan A launched 10 years ago and has since delivered nearly 300 eco and ethical commitments and saved over £750 million in efficiency costs such as using reduced packaging, using less energy and fewer transport miles.
