The new Deeside facility

North Wales-based recycling and logistics firm Allan Morris has launched a new 87,000 sq ft recycling plant with the support of a funding package from HSBC.

The Deeside facility will allow the business to double its recycling capacity and integrate sorting, baling, processing and storage on a single site.

Allan Morris now expects to process an extra 50,000 tonnes of recycled paper per year and create up to 10 jobs.

HSBC funding has also helped the business update its fleet to the latest Euro 6 compliant engines.

Terry Axon, MD of Allan Morris, said: “The recycling plant will not only create new local jobs but also make a serious environmental contribution. We’re incredibly proud to contribute to an industry focused on bettering the environment and look forward to working in the new facility.”

The firm has now secured a larger contract with high end graphic paper supplier UPM Shotton.
