Simply Waste Solutions, a Buckinghamshire-based waste and recycling collection company, has increased it footprint by acquiring Wycombe Trade Waste and Skip Hire. The deal, concluded on 1 March, is expected to add in excess of 500 new customers to Simply Waste Solutions’ client base.

James Capel, Simply Waste Solutions’ CEO and founder, said: “For more than two decades, Wycombe Trade Waste has had an enviable reputation and, like ourselves, has succeeded by delivering an exceptionally responsive service at a competitive price and so this acquisition is an ideal fit for us. The commitment we make to our new customers, as well as all our existing ones, is to deliver continuous improvement in service levels as well as our proven ability to drive out cost by increasing efficiencies."

As well as inheriting new customers throughout the Bucks region, Simply Waste Solutions now also gains an additional waste transfer station that is anticipated to increase its reach and capability, particularly in the northern home counties region.

“We have put in many years of hard work building the business so it was vitally important for us that, whoever bought it, also shared our same desire to deliver the very highest levels of customer care”, said Chris Barlow, former owner of Wycombe Trade Waste. “It is, therefore, extremely pleasing that we’ll be handing the reins over to a company that will not only carry on our good work, but also has the capability of providing our many loyal customers with an even wider range of services."

According to Simply Waste Solutions, the company has grown from a two-truck start-up a decade ago into a company with an annual turnover close to £30 million, a fleet of over 50 vehicles and now more than 120 employees with a head office in High Wycombe, Bucks, and a logistics and recycling site on the doorstep of Heathrow airport.
