Vehicle recycling trade body MVDA changes name

The Motor Vehicle Dismantlers Association of Great Britain (MVDA) has changed its name to become the Vehicle Recycler’s Association (VRA).

A statement said the change better reflects the Association’s remit as the trade body for UK professional vehicle recyclers.

Chas Ambrose, secretary of the VRA, said: “Professional vehicle recyclers face ever increasing environmental regulation and costs, whilst their businesses are continually under threat from illegaly-run not permitted operations.

“The VRA will provide a respectable and cogent voice for our members, liaising with government and regulators to address this inequality.”

The Association will continue to be based in its Litchfield office keeping the same postal address and telephone number, yet its website, email and Facebook details have changed.
